Thought of the day
One of my new year's resolution for 2012 was to cut down on shopping- whether it be online or brick store shopping. You see, I did an overhaul of my wardrobe and found that there was clearly enough clothing to sustain me for hospital, weekends and play across all seasons... In fact, I had to give away some items in order to plough the way for new stock. But I've always found that I tended to wear only 20% of my wardrobe and hardly touched the other part. Part of the reason is due to the change in style, my sartorial sense is quite different to what it was 5 years ago. I used to be into emo-ey, cutesy, kitchy stuff aka Revival, Dangerfield, Princess Highway... One of my favourite T shirts back then was a black tee with Barbie in her pink convertible with the slogan: SPEED MACHINE. OMG.
Nowadays, I tend to veer towards clothes that I can wear for hospital and for going out. Back to my shopping haul, I bought: wrap dress from David Lawrence (I am absolutely enamoured with wrap dresses!), skirts and blouses from Events and David Lawrence, Elle magazine (Taiwanese version) from Kinokyuna etc. And.... I tried this polka dot dress from Jigsaw (black with confetti like shimmering dots)- less than half price- OMG!!! It was like my 'dream dress'- like something out of the Mad Men wardrobe... However, the size 6 dress waist did not fit me... Either it's a smaller make or I have gained weight... ARGH! Size 8 is not an option as the bust portion was a tad too big... Sighs.
There is now Face Shop opened in The Galleries- Face Shop is like a hybrid between The Body Shop and Missha. I didn't buy anything as most of the products are similar to Missha and Tony Moly, which I already own... If only Etude House or Banila Co opened in Sydney...
Also have discovered the list of wanted products are all available from cosmenet.com. I tried looking for them in Sydney, however, the prices are double or sometimes even triple, the original RRP (if I was to get it in France...) Unfortunately, the wanted items are out of stock at the moment... Sighs.
To Buy List:
- Embryolisse Lait Concentrate
- Embryolisse eye contour cream
- Bioderma
- Rosebud Salve
