Makeup of the day

What a beautiful look for the everyday office/work look! I love the emphasis on base makeup- it's a very Japanese concept. In contrast with the Western makeup looks which emphasizes on point makeup, Japanese makeup places more focus on the base makeup with a flawless foundation finish and appropriate highlighting.

Have recently finished my KATE long lasting 2 way pact in OC B and am now onto Coffret D'or silky lasting 2 way pact in OC C. After a month in Menindee and Broken Hill, I have tanned quite badly and OC B no longer looks natural on me anymore- in fact there's the quite apparent dreaded foundation/ skin demarcation line around the jaw line... Ergh.

Funnily enough, during my time there, a friend had kindly pointed out this foundation faux pas and that the colour on my nose bridge was significantly lighter than the rest of my face. (Actually that was an attempt at trying to highlight the nose bridge... ) Perhaps it was due to the poor lighting, inept skills or just rush of time... But I really do need to spend more time on the base makeup to re-create Lisa Eldrige's look above...

Cannot sleep. Feels like insomnia. Perhaps its due to the thrill and excitement of returning home. Could be due to the noise from housemate's fan. Maybe my circadian rhythm is just out of whack.

Because of you, I've done crazy things in the past: dragged the 'unwilling you' onto the dance floor, joined bible club, underwent a metamorphosis thinking that somehow a transformation will help you notice this wallflower, told everyone except you of my feelings, smiling like lunatic all day because of some haphazard comment you make, stupidly denying my feelings to you in case that a confession may upset the equilibrium between us, ...

But this is the year of answers. I want either a 'yes or a no', 'no ifs, buts or maybes'... Rejection may hurt in the short term but regret is even worse... Living in the world of maybes and possibilities... So one day, if I ever confront you, just remember: 'I'm just a girl, standing in front of a boy, asking him to love her..' So please be kind, please be nice, please don't be too cruel to this frail, delicate, battered heart...

New haircut for the new year...

Am contemplating a new haircut for the new year- a shoulder length bob with body waves??? Maybe chocolate henna dyed???

Big jet plane

Went on the RFDS flight today... First time I went on a plane, I had the worst earaches ever- imagine a screw driver being driven into your tympanic membrane for 8 hours. This time, I had the queasiness. I felt nauseous. Every time I looked outside the window, I felt like I was going to hurl all my stomach contents... (Having a big lunch prior to the flight doesn't help either...)

Overall, it was a great experience to see a remote community such as Ivanhoe, to see country medicine in the real...
